And With A Knowing Wink...
I'm back in Ohio this week, with enough time on travel day to visit the Air Force Museum. Now who just might this girl be? I'm not telling ;).

What Was The Kettle Moraine Railway
Once upon a time, there was a nostalgic little railway in a picturesque village. It featured a steam locomotive and carried passengers on short jaunts. But alas, the Kettle Moraine Railway, short of funds, and at odds with local government, ran for the last time in 2001. This is what remains of the rolling stock. I have other photos (including the car you saw the other day) that I will post in the coming days. Believe it or not, their website is still up.

Show Me The Digits!
Folks, that sound you heard was the 1000th visitor to this esteemed journal. Ok, so I'm an amateur, but you folks have made me feel like a pro! I want to thank each and every one of you, from Australia to Argentina, from Hong Kong to Dallas who have taken a moment of their time to visit this remote corner of the blogosphere. Many of the links to the left are of fellow bloggers have also have linked to me and helped me in so many ways, so thanks to them in particular. Please visit their sites; we're all in this together. Now I ask an additional favor: I like to think I have a good product, but the only way to know for sure is for you to provide feedback. So please, take a moment and add a comment and tell me what you would like to see more, or less of. Tell your friends, too. And thanks to you all, once again. You're the reason why I do this.
P.S. Sue, you were #1000. Thank you babe!

Jalopy
I saw a picture of a well preserved antique automobile in another blog, and I thought that perhaps I could do better. Might need a coat of paint.

A Timeless Place
Annapolis, Maryland. One of the most beautiful towns I have ever been to. The state capitol of Maryland, home of the United States Naval Academy. This place was once the capitol of the nascent United States and was where George Washington resigned his commission on December 23, 1783. It drips with history. I can't wait to go back.

That Was A Big Dollhouse
North Utica, Illoinois. A tornado actually did move through this town, 18 months ago. Some businesses have taken longer to recover than others.
An Apolitical Take On The Miers Nomimation
The nomination of Harriet Miers to replace Sandra Day O'Conner on the United States Supreme Court has caused a considerable amount of debate. George F. Will, in today's Washington Post, offers what I feel is an apolitical take on the qualifications of Mrs. Miers.
