Another Piece Of My Childhood

Joseph Barbera died today at the age of 95. He and partner William Hanna teamed up at MGM studios to bring "Tom & Jerry" to the screen, and 7 Academy Awards. Later, they founded Hanna-Barbera Studios and were responsible for animated classics like "The Flintstones", "Jonny Quest", "The Jetsons", and later, "Scooby Doo". Contemporary animators today owe a debt of gratitude to these pioneers. They may be gone, but their art will live on.

Another great creative mind gone. Spent many a Saturday morning with Hanna-Babera cartoons.
