This is the view from the top of Blue Mound, in the state park of the same name west of Madison, Wisconsin. Elevation 1,716 feet, seventh highest in the state.
What a great weekend. Even with the rain showers Friday night, and some heavy showers Saturday night, I would call the weather perfect.

2 astute observations :
Goodness what a flat place! And green. In fact, this could be England. Hmm. Is Wisconsin anything to do with cheese, and if so, what movie did I learn that from?
Wisconsin is actually quite the rolling, hilly place...just nothing too high. The last Ice Age made all that happen.
As to cheese, well, you heard right...until just a few years ago Wisconsin was the leading producer of cheese in this country. They don't call us "cheeseheads" for nothing!
