A Jazz Great Gets A New Gig

I learned today of the passing of trumpet great Maynard Ferguson. When studying the line of succession in jazz history, chances are "The Boss" was not more than one step removed. He played with the greats. He was great. He was my first trumpet hero. He will be missed.
