17th Street Bar and Grill - Amazing Barbecue

Holy mackeral! Folks who've been following the blog know what a barbecue snob I am. Well, dear readers, I treated myself to some of the finest Memphis style ribs you can find at the 17th Street Bar and Grill in Murphysboro, Illinois. The ribs were dry rubbed then slow smoked, with sauce added just prior to serving. The smoke through was complete; the meat was pink throughout. And boy were they tender, with a mellow but deep taste. The sauce was thin and totally complimentary. Folks, if you come within 50 miles of Murphysboro, you owe it to yourself to partake in this little part of pork heaven.
